A Course in Miracles: Lesson 275

Lesson 275

God’s healing Voice protects all things today.

“Your healing Voice protects all things today, and so I leave all things to You. I need be anxious over nothing. For Your Voice will tell me what to do and where to go; to whom to speak and what to say to him, what thoughts to think, what words to give the world. The safety that I bring is given me. Father, your Voice protects all things through me” (ACIM Lesson 275 2:1-5).

Spiritual author and speaker Eckhart Tolle once mentioned, during a gathering, that he really never prepares for his public appearances. Instead, he simply abides in, what he calls, the Present, the Now. His example invites us all into the beauty and simplicity of just showing up to the moment. This is not to say that we should not prepare for a big presentation, job interview, or something of the like. What Eckhart, and today’s lesson, encourages us to do is listen and trust the Voice that speaks to us. It is this Voice that will guide us to prepare when we need to prepare. It is this Voice that will inspire us to call a friend at just the right moment. It is this Voice that will let us know when it is time to stay versus go. And it is this Voice that will speak through us out into the world, as we abide as Christ.

If you recall, the question for this particular series of lessons is, “What is the Christ?” Each day, we have been living the answer, and today, we are invited to experience the flow of God that moves through Christ, as the Child of God simply, listens. We listen to that Voice that abides in each of us, the Voice that guides and protects us, and to the Voice that speaks through us with words of light, love, and compassion. This is how the Christ can take human form and abide as a piece of heaven on earth. All it takes is a little listening. Namaste.
