Lesson 359
God’s answer is some form of peace.
All pain is healed; all misery replaced with joy.
All prison doors are opened.
And all sin is understood as merely a mistake.
“Father, today we will forgive Your world, and let creation be Your Own. We have misunderstood all things. But we have not made sinners of the holy Sons of God. What You created sinless so abides forever and forever. Such are we. And we rejoice to learn that we have made mistakes which have no real effects on us. Sin is impossible, and on they fact forgiveness rests upon a certain base more solid than the shadow world we see. Help us forgive, for we would be redeemed. Help us forgive, for we would be at peace” (ACIM Lesson 359 1:1-9).
Today we are subtly reminded of a previous lesson, “I do not know what anything is for” (Lesson 25). We see the shadow world we created, placing upon it our own meaning and projections, and have thought it to be true and insanely logical. We have felt the chains of our outer prison and thought our sinfulness to be our identity. When we analyze this world with the human mind we believe we know what this world is for and we believe in its fateful outcomes. However, that is just looking upon madness with more madness. Through forgiveness, we look upon the world with the eyes of the Heart and feel into our holiness and SEE that this world has no real effect upon us. This world is merely a stage in order to witness miracle upon miracle, a microcosm to observe the power of God.
Every breath taken in this world is an opportunity to witness peace. It is an opportunity to have a front row seat for the show of a lifetime, a magnificent show where everything always turns out perfectly. It is observing how sadness turns into joy, how hate turns into understanding, how effort turns into ease, and how fear turns into love….always. In laying our agenda to the side, we allow God the space to answer our call and watch how She miraculously moves around us. We observe how “coincidences” happen and how “luck” strikes at just the perfect moment. However, our Heart knows there is no such thing as coincidence and luck, it knows it is all part of God speaking to us in some form of peace, a form of peace in which the human mind could have never predicted. And that is the key, that is why we do not know what anything is for, for the human mind could never fathom the magnificence of God nor predict Her limitless ways. We acknowledge that we have misunderstood what the eyes have seen and ask for guidance in understanding. In doing so, we forgive ourselves and the world, leaving space for God to dance Her dance, showing us many, upon many, forms of peace.
No matter how long it may take in human time, peace is sure to come. Recall that no matter what your clock says, you are part of a Union that does not abide in time and space as you know it. Thus, relax, sit back, and watch The Show. Watch how the miracles unfold around you. Be in wonderment of how peace comes. It is a show you surely do not want to miss. After all, you are sitting in the best seat in the House. Namaste.
