How Free Can I Be?

How Free Can I Be?

What a great question!  How free can you be?  What would life be like if you played it BIG and had no baggage and were absolutely unencumbered?  The irony is that what is being described is our nature state and intention for being here on this earth.  Yet, we continue to play the drama of life and often reside in a supporting role rather than as the leading lady (or man).

In the Cat Stevens classic, If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out, he describes a life where you can do anything you want.  His song is full of wisdom and acts as an invitation to live our Truth.  He sings of the infinite number of choices of things to be.  So, why not be free?

And if you want to be free, be free
‘Cause there’s a million things to be
You know that there are

If you want to live in freedom begin with freeing others:  free them from judgements, past actions, things said or not said, etc.  Liberate not just those in your life from the roles they have but also the “things” that are around you.  Free the chair beneath you, that was once a tree and before that a seed, to be just an object that you now sit in.  Free the shirt you wear that was once a piece of cotton in a field and before that, a seed, as well.  Everything around you was once just a seedling of an idea, as were you when God thought, “What if?”  Free the leaves on the tree and the fish in the sea and you will find just how free you can be.

Reading these words “If you want to say YES, say YES.  And if you want to say no, say no.  ‘Cause there’s a million ways to go.  You know that there are (Cat Stevens).”    So what will it be?  How free can you be?  Namaste.
